Volunteers Needed for Ideation Bootcamps!
Brilliant Labs Nova Scotia and Junior Achievement Nova Scotia are excited to announce a new partnership through which we will be delivering JA’s Ideation Bootcamp program in Brilliant Labs Makerspaces across the province.
The Ideation Bootcamp is designed to be delivered in six two-hour sessions and is a shortened-version of Junior Achievement’s Company Program focusing on the ideation phase of a new business. This program allows students to develop and test new ideas in an environment that encourages and celebrates creativity and innovation.
The five major outcomes of the program are:
Students Develop ideas for a new business venture
Students test ideas through market research and prototyping
Student learn about and set SMART goals
Students Develop a Business Model Canvas
Student hone public speaking skills and learn to pitch
Through the use of Brilliant Labs Makerspaces, the students will be able to combine the learnings of the Ideation Bootcamp with access to technology and training making this a STEAM focused program.
Volunteers will be recognized with an official Brilliant Labs/Junior Achievement Volunteer Recognition Certificate. If you're interested in becoming a volunteer please contact Sarah at firstname.lastname@example.org.
