Hello Summer in Halifax!
Hope everyone’s excited for the summer, because Brilliant Labs is here to bring technology and coding into your summer fun! With help from our partners at Digital Nova Scotia and CEED (Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Development),
Brilliant Labs will be supporting summer camps for youth between the ages 5 - 16 (ages vary depending on the summer camp).
Don’t worry if your child doesn't see themselves as a programmer in the future, these workshops and camps are meant to be a fun experience for all, where students get to explore their passions using technology!
Brilliant Labs will be holding robotic workshops at the Halifax public libraries where counselors will help teach campers how to program different types of robots. Brilliant Labs also holds Scratch workshops, where you get to learn how to code in Scratch and maybe even make a small video game!
We also showcase our 3D printers and show you how to use applications to design andprint your own 3D object! Along with wearable technology, app building, prototyping, and web designing, there are so many different workshops for people with all sorts of interests. We at Brilliant Labs understand how the skills built from coding and programming are important for a child’s future. Skills such as analyzing and problem solving are incredibly useful in a child’s education and career, so we at Brilliant Labs wish to help people earn those skills.
Our goal here at Brilliant Labs is to provide a fun introduction to science and technology for students to let them explore their creativity and innovation. So check out our blog to keep track of upcoming events (our first summer workshops are on July 4th at libraries around HRM, where we will be teaching visitors how to program robots). Make sure to bring your passion for creativity and technology, and happy coding!
