What is MakerFaire?
This school year Brilliant Labs will be encouraging teachers and students to keep their sights on Maker Faire, June 9, 2022. We will be working to share your ingenuity and creativity shines from September to June! Projects will include innovation challenges, robotics, 3-D printing, hydroponics and more!
There will be projects on display at the different islands above and Brilliant Labs will be showcasing some of those throughout our live Virtual Atlantic Maker Faire – June 9, 2022. This all-day open fun house virtual event will kick off with a mentos challenge, youth speakers, robotics, maker activities, how-to workshops and learning opportunities for teachers, families and youth.

Virtual Maker Faire on May 12th & 13th. This free event will highlight inspiring creations from Nova Scotia makers of all ages and passions with pre-recorded events!
It is clear that youth are thinking about the future of our climate. For example, students have prototyped a robot that plants seeds, a solar cell phone charging station, and entrepreneurial ideas to help solve the supply change food crisis by collecting food scraps from local grocers, and the community at large, to harvest seeds for edible gardens.
Newfoundland & Labrador
We will be hosting a virtual School Maker Faire May 13th showcasing student projects from across the province. Plus, if you’re in the St.John’s area come to our open house May 14th at our new MakerSpace at Keyin College, 644 Topsail Road. There will be activities, student projects and hands-on making stations to help families, students & teachers explore the fun of learning when making!
