FREDERICTON – Students and teachers from around New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and beyond will now be able to “beam” into a five-foot tall rolling robot that looks like a computer on wheels to gain access to the tech experts at Brilliant Labs.

Lily Dolan has created headphones that encourage people with neck problems to keep their heads up. If they don't, the music won't play.

Bliss Carman students showcase coding talents with wearable technology

It took them the better part of the school year but five students from Fredericton's Bliss Carman Middle School have created something truly wonderful. Their crimson gown, which swirls around the legs of a model, is a piece of wearable technology that incorporates heart. or rather, a heartbeat.

This awesome LED gown was designed by students for model Sofia Bossenberry, a young girl that knows what it’s like to have a heart problem. It made its debut at the Heart Truth Gala sponsored by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, Canada according to CBC News.

Brilliant Labs to spark creativity at Nova Scotia schools

The province is spending $400,000 to bring Brilliant Labs to each school board, a program that gives students a chance to experience everything from metalworking to fashion design to computer programming.

Brilliant Labs Takes Hold in NS

Brilliant Labs helps to teach students about technology through project-based learning, especially within the classroom. The not-for-profit uses projects, such as jewellery-making, video game design and entrepreneurship, to teach people about how they can not only consume technology, but create it. Brilliant Labs Nova Scotia received $400,000 from the provincial government in April.
